Regan Daviana Carkner

Interior Decorator

My name is Regan Daviana Carkner, and I am a student in the Project Management Program at Georgian College. As my resume indicates, I am currently employed in the design industry. I possess nearly 7 years of experience in customer service, working with customers regularly at several different companies. While in my first year in college, I found myself interested in the Health Care field. I found a particular interest in the career of Personal Support Workers. I loved how interpersonal the position was. Not only were you caring for the clients physically but you were also caring for their emotional, spiritual, and cognitive state. After completing the Personal Support Worker Program, I decided to continue with my schooling in the Interior Decorating Program. This field became my niche, as I had always saut out a career opportunity that would allow me to be creative while also having technical aspects. Following my graduation in the April of 2024, I have decided to continue my schooling at Georgian College, where I have enrolled in the Project Management Program. This will help me further my skills, helping me develop leadership qualities, and teaching me how to lead a team effectively and efficiently.

Growing up in Mallorytown, Ontario I have been influenced by agriculture and the supportive community around me. Agriculture and community has continued to influence my work and school, finding more environmentally friendly products, and using organic shapes and products. Growing up in such an inviting a and supportive community has furthered my communication skills, and helped me engage on a personal level. I have learned how to foster personal relationship with clients, how to work hand in hand with clients to accomplish their vision, and I have learned how to describe the elements of design to consumers. I truly believe that this is the career for me! My personal love of art and motivation to creatively think outside the box has helped me grow and develop my skills as a Decorator.

Thank you for reading my resume and cover letter, I hope that this has given you an insight into who I am as a person. Thank you again, and I look forward to hearing from you and your team
